Camile Sproesser b. 1985

Biography

Camile Sproesser (b. 1985, São Paulo, Brazil) is a nomadic artist who holds degrees in visual art, film, journalism and literature. Her body of work is deeply influenced by her constantly evolving environment. Using non-traditional mediums like woven jute and linen, she blends plant-based materials to explore the cyclical nature of life through painting. Sproesser explores the universal collective subconscious by creating an imagery related to ancient symbologies, mythology and archetypes from places she has been, vulnerably putting herself and her work as active, present testimonies of the supreme impermanence that reigns in this world. Recent exhibitions include The Sun and The Moon: Art Inspired by the Celestial, Saatchi Gallery, London (2026) and Transe, Gomide&Co and Act Arte, São Paulo (2025).
